Lighting of the tower is achieved by projecting an abstract, highly graphic design onto the stone surface. This design consists of an arrangement of “simple and clear lines,” directly inspired by the layout of the stained-glass windows.

How? Using cold white gobo projectors aimed at two façades. The entire tower is also illuminated with a low-intensity background lighting in warm white.

Lighting of the rock ties into the theme of fire, a fundamental element in medieval thought.

How? By applying low-intensity background lighting in both warm and cold white to highlight the mass and make it stand out in the landscape. Overlaid on this is a soft red wash at the base of the rock, evoking the movement of flames.
