The modern Housing Estate in Berchem-Sainte-Agathe (Brussels), built by Victor Bourgeois (1925) and made of 275 housings, is located in a peaceful block.

In order to create a safe and pleasant night-time atmosphere for the inhabitants, we focused our highlighting on the poetry of the place, and also on its uses.

The concept was to place lights on low-level which therefore resonate with the rythm of the façades, but also with the entrances, with the luminous flux providing a better acces to these. The public lighting follows the breathing spaces of the housing estate and also highlights the plant life, which is very much present.

At night, the housing estate recovers a respectful and human-size atmosphere, enhancing the particularities of its typology.
