As part of the lighting master plan for the Molenbeek Urban Renewal Zone (ZRU), several lighting projects have been carried out—both in the town center and around Beekkant metro station.
The goal here was to create a meaningful connection between the two entrances of the metro station, which are separated by a footbridge crossing over the tracks.
The solutions are simple yet effective: inside the footbridge, a series of blue filters create a rhythmic visual experience for pedestrians.
At either end, warm-colored light spots invite people to approach—either to enter the metro or to cross to the other side.»
