The light concept that we suggest for this new cultural hub of Liège goes with the architectural design of the building. It is defined according to the three visual scales from which the building can be perceived:
- the distant view: a luminous pointillism highlights the upper projections of the building and anchors the building from a long-distance perspective.
- the ‘intermediate’ view: although this is subject to a separate design assignment, the interior lighting visible through the various transparent or filtering façades must not be overlooked; coordination is carried out with it, particularly regarding lighting schedules.
- the ‘close-up’ view: light projections on the ground attract and guide visitors toward the building’s entrances and continues in the interior of the building.
