The logic of integration of the route of the future Liege tramway is based on the Lighting Plan.
The tram is the unifying element linking the different districts through movement.
Movement of the trams highlighted by a kinetic effect while in motion and a “transmission of energy” effect when entering the station.
This notion of movement can be found in the project's different lighting schemes: the shelters and the platforms, the tram interior and exterior.
For the stations:
Background lighting (shelter, platforms, roof screen printing and display panels) using warm white lighting to contrast with the cold white scenographic lighting (lines on light on the shelters).
The lighting is dynamic when the tram arrives and static the rest of the time.
For the rolling stock:
The interior and exterior lighting will interact according to whether the tram is moving or at a standstill.
Upon, arriving at the stop, the brightness of the external luminous envelope reduces and is transferred to the stop which becomes brightly lit as if the energy was transmitted like a pulse…during entry and exit type exchanges.
