Seujet quay lighting scheme Geneva (Switzerland)
Client: City of Geneva
Years : 2008-2011
Design team : Radiance 35, ScPRL
Scope of appointment : Full appointment (design and implementation)
A new lighting scenario has been designed on the banks of the Rhone, that is based on simplicity, suitable but discrete lighting, as well as playful historical references to the tanning tanks.
Along the pedestrian promenade, spotlights have been lampposts to make the river's edge welcoming at all times of the day. They form pools of light at regular intervals along the quay to mark its path over a distance of about 800 metres. During the week, the colour of the light is white. During the week end it is coloured in shades of blue and green.
