Client : City of Liège
Years : 2005, 2006 and 2007
Design team : Isabelle CORTEN and Patrick RIMOUX
Scope of appointment : Full appointment (ephemeral project)
The creation of a light trail consisting of “light tableaux” with specific themes and colours.
After the themes of “City of the Bishop Princes” in 2005, followed by the city’s steel-making past in 2006, the 2007 illumination tackled the history of Liège via the theme of water (the Legia river from which the city of Liège takes its name; the Meuse river, its bridges and banks present throughout the city), creating a dynamic and colourful backdrop
The 2007 Christmas path is traced around the shops of the “Christmas City”. Centred around the Place Saint Lambert, it seeks to accentuate all the main arteries leading into the square.
