Lighting plan for the Saint-James district of Brussels

The Lighting Plan for the Saint James district of Brussels seeks to create a light trail within the neighbourhood. Based on a three-fold approach (redesigned public lighting, unified shop windows and scenographic lighting) it provides a genuine link between the modern-day district and its past, giving it a unique feel.

The scenographic lighting has been conceived as a genuine artistic intervention, consisting of projected images along the route, produced in collaboration with the Italian “ZimmerFrei” artists collective), like a series of tracks, inviting passers-by to raise their head and admire the area’s remarkable architecture.
