The Lighting Plan of the Commune of Woluwe-Saint-Pierre has been designed firstly as a genuine management tool for the Commune. <!–more–>It bases itself on local specificities – in particular the extensive amount of greenery – and an understanding of the rhythms of life, to create a new nocturnal identity around local features (the districts) and general features (covering the entire Commune).
It is based around three main principles:
- working by neighbourhood to guide the choice of light fittings
- a discovery trail to highlight the inherent riches in each neighbourhood marked by “threads” of white or coloured light
- the highlighting of plants through careful positioning of equipment and/or a more structured approach to shape and shade.
